Message to staff and students from STA Travel shop

At this time every year we get very long queues at the STA Travel shop while students are purchasing their local bus passes.

This year there are additional challenges because First Bus have changed the format of the passes and they are now more complicated to issue (but should speed up bus boarding times).

We would like everyone to know that the staff at STA are working hard to keep the queues moving as quickly as possible to minimise inconvenience for everyone.

Staff buying train tickets

If you are a member of staff wishing to purchase a rail ticket, please skip the queue and alert a member of the STA team.

We will try to get your ticket issued immediately or take your purchase order form and have it issued for you the next day.

Flights & accommodation

Likewise, if you are interested in booking flights or accommodation, please do not be put off by the long queue snaking out the door. It is often relatively quiet on the ‘flight’ side of the office and you may be seen straight away.
