Yoga is one of the many activities on offer during Wellbeing Week

Free staff Wellbeing Fayre (Mon 12th Jan)

To help staff have a healthy start to 2009 the University is launching a new Wellbeing Week with a host of activities on offer.

The week kicks off on Monday 12th January with a free Wellbeing Fayre open to all staff working at the University.

Running from 11am to 6pm in UBSA (the staff association building behind 6 West) the aim of the fayre is to boost general wellbeing of staff.

Anyone can come along on the day and visit a number of different Wellbeing helpers from inside and outside the University. You can find out about all sorts of activities from dog-walking to yoga. There will also be a chance to have a blood pressure check or learn about relaxation techniques.

There is a free prize draw for staff who attend the fayre (New Year treats such body massage. etc) as well as other goodies to give away.

So the message is simple - come along for just 20 minutes or so and start the year off as you mean to go on!

As well as Monday's fayre there are also a number of workshops running throughout the week on topics including nutrition, stress management, sleep clinics, and sport and exercise. Further details and a chance to sign up for a particular workshop can be done at the fayre.
