Message to undergraduate students seeking research volunteers

This is the time of year when many undergraduates are embarking on research projects and are looking for volunteers.

Could we suggest that you make use of the University's electronic Noticeboard at www.bath.ac.uk/noticeboard to advertise? (See Related Links. You can also find a permanent link in the Quick Links column of the internal homepage.)

If you use the "Wanted" category and follow it with "Volunteers", this will enable everyone to have their requests in one place and you'll be able to make reciprocal arrangements to help each other out with projects, on an exchange basis.

As an incentive for students who aren't themselves engaged in a project, there is sometimes an opportunity to earn a bit of money or be entered into a free draw for a prize, not to mention that one day maybe it will be your turn to try and find willing volunteers!

Please note that the departmental administrators have requested that students do not email asking them to forward emails to undergraduates in their departments; unfortunately, although the administrators would like to help, the volume of requests they receive makes it impractical.

Could undergraduates also note that although requests for research volunteers are sometimes posted on the University homepage, these are only for projects being carried out by postgraduates and academics.

Thank you for your co-operation and good luck with your project.
