Academics: Would you like to be in a new guide for journalists?

The University's Press Office is creating a new A-Z guide of experts.

The aim is to produce something that can be given to journalists as a quick and easy guide to finding experts who are able and willing to comment on the topics which are leading the news agenda that day. This will in turn help to raise the profile of academics, the University and of the excellent work that takes place here.

Those who are included in the guide are expected to be happy and confident to engage with all forms of media from local papers through to regional and national TV. Of course we are happy in the Press Office to offer advice on giving effective interviews and can help to arrange appropriate training if required.

All inquires from journalists will be taken by the Press Office, making it easier for us to screen the requests, provide any additional information or research and then monitor any subsequent coverage.

If you are interested in being included in the A-Z guide please email Katharine Barker with your name, title, department and list of your specialist areas, no later than Friday 20 February.

If you have already replied to an email about this guide, there is no need to respond to this message.

Many thanks.
