Internal News - 02 December 2005New policy: Disposal of confidential waste paper & hard drivesFurther to a recent internal Data Protection Audit, the Executive Committee and the University Data Protection Officer now require all departments to use B&NES for the disposal of confidential waste paper and RecommIT (via the waste services department), for the disposal of all levels of computers containing intact hard drives. Consequently, all departments must ensure that they do not dispose of confidential waste paper or hard drives through another organisation. The University Records Manager is happy to receive confidential waste and arrange for its disposal, so long as departments use the B&NES sacks. |
