CUC consultation on remuneration guidelines

The Committee of University Chairs (CUC) has, for many years, published guidelines on the governance of Universities, including the issue of senior staff remuneration. These standards have been adopted across the higher education sector. The University has an ongoing commitment to complying with CUC guidance. CUC has just produced in draft new more comprehensive Remuneration Guidance. CUC are seeking comments from “anyone with an interest in the reputation of the UK higher education sector”. The formal consultation ends on 12 March 2018 and we would encourage individuals to offer their views on the draft guidance directly through that formal consultation. The Guidance will also inform the Effectiveness Review being carried out by Halpin Partnership and consequent decisions by the University Council in May.
