Purchasing Services promote & enhance sustainable practices

We have engaged with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) to use their Sustainability Index as a key part of the ongoing management of our suppliers with the aim that this will not only help us meet our own sustainability obligations, but that it will also support our suppliers to promote and enhance their sustainable practices.

Sally Ford retires after 19 years - Fri 14 Feb

Sally has requested no formal send-off or presentation to mark her retirement, but Purchasing Services are holding an Open House between 10am and 3pm on her last day in Wessex House 6.43. A leaving card is being held by Eileen Barge and Ali Bradley in Purchasing Services.

From Monday 23 April ordering from the IT Purchasing Shop on Agresso is moving on to the University e-Marketplace. The process of getting orders to the IT Purchasing Shop will not change, only how you populate the requisition.

The new First Aid Supplies contract has been awarded to C & P Medical Trading Ltd. Items can still be purchased from Central Stores until stocks have been depleted.

New 'one stop shop' for all staff travel needs

Following a lengthy and comprehensive tender process, Ian Allan Travel have been selected as the University's first ever staff Travel Management Company (TMC). Ian Allan will provide a "one stop shop" for all staff travel needs: air (including low cost carriers e.g. Easyjet), rail, hotels and car hire, as well as providing assistance with passports, visa requirements and up-to-date travel advice.
