How to help children with severe behavioural problems?
Nick Gould (Social & Policy Sciences) has acted as joint technical lead in the production of a report that addresses the clinical and cost effectiveness of parent education/training programmes in the management of children with conduct disorders.
Bath in Bloom Silver Award
The Landscape Team, part of the Department of Estates, has won a Silver Award for the quality of its environmental planting, and the design and maintenance of the areas close to Marlborough and Solsbury residences, together with the new planting at 8 West.

Bath Taps goes on tour
Bath Taps Into Science, the annual science fair, organised by many University staff is going on tour to Norwich as part of the British Association Festival of Science next week. School pupils in Norwich will get the chance to learn about science through flying pigs, robots and experiments with liquid nitrogen.
International learning & teaching conference
The 14th Improving Student Learning Symposium, Improving Student Learning Through Teaching, is being held on campus from 4-6 September.

The School of Management is hosting an international conference from 7-9 September entitled ‘Frontiers of Regulation: Assessing Scholarly Debates and Policy Challenges'. The conference has attracted over 90 scholarly papers from a wide range of countries across Europe, North America, Australia and Asia.

Access to LeVel 1 Café
Due to a leak, the stairwell from the parade to LeVel 1 Café has had to be closed. As soon as the area is safe, the stairwell will be reopened. It is hoped that repair works will be complete by the end of September. Alternative access is via the disabled entrance adjacent to the University Hall.
Underdeck closure
During the week commencing Monday 4 September, the underdeck will be partially and progressively closed in different areas whilst works are undertaken to install essential safety barriers. Estates apologises for the inconvenience caused. Are you interested in equality of opportunity?
