University grounds are bloomin' marvellous
The University has received first prize in the annual Bath in Bloom competition for the new landscaping and planting outside the Sports Training Village and new student residences.

Bob Bragg dies
We are very sorry to announce the death of Bob Bragg on 3 January 2006. Details about the funeral will be posted on the homepage when they are available.

Bath alumnus becomes Tanzania's prime minister
Tanzania's newly sworn-in parliament approved the appointment of Edward Lowasa as the country's prime minister. Edward graduated from the University with an MSc in Development Studies in 1984.

Car sharing scheme
The scheme is free to use - you simply share the travel costs. It links drivers and passengers together online as part of the largest car sharing scheme in the UK and helps reduce the pollution and congestion on our roads.

A winning start to the New Year
The December issue of Insider Magazine included a Christmas Literary Quiz, written for University staff by local author, Kim Green. Stephanie Gan won the first prize of a £50 Waterstone's Voucher. Runners up: Diane Davies, Janet Rumsey and Matt Filsell will all receive a copy of Mr Green's book Bath: Valley of the Sacred Spring.
