Industry leader gives talk to Bath MBA students
Sir Christopher Gent, non-executive Chairman of GlaxoSmithKline and former Chief Executive of Vodafone, visited the University and gave a talk to around 40 MBA students in the School of Management.
New site helps computer users share files around the world
Staff and students at the University will now be able to easily share computer files with other people from the University from anywhere in the world thanks to a new internet service launched by BUCS.

Death: Robin Fearn
We regret to announce the death of Sir Robin Fearn, aged 71, who served on University Council and was the British diplomat who coordinated the Whitehall front in the Falklands war. INFORMATION
New legislation on Age Discrimination
The legislation on Age Discrimination came into force on 1 October 2006. The University is working to put procedures in place to ensure that no job applicant, employee, prospective student or existing student is unfairly treated.
Institutional Audit 2008
The next institutional audit of the University will take place in Autumn 2008.
The QAA had originally proposed an audit in Autumn 2007 but, following successful representations from the University, has agreed that this should be deferred for a further year. Clerical/admin staff to serve on University Court

Fr Bill, O.S.M, Catholic Chaplain to the universities in Bath invites Catholic University students, staff & friends in Bath to the holy mass opening the academic year presided over by the Rt. Revd Declan Lang, Bishop of Clifton, in St John's Catholic Church, South Parade, Bath on Sunday 8 October at 6.30pm. A new Catholic Chaplaincy Centre has been opened in Bath for purposes and needs of the Catholic students of both the universities and their friends.
