INFORMATION

Research participants sought
Matt Billings and Dr Leon Watts (Computer Science) are examining how and why technologies change the nature of conflict and argument. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that things can improve or deteriorate whenever people disagree in technologically-mediated discussions. In an effort to better understand the factors that underpin these effects, they are looking for volunteers to take part in a study of mediation and interpersonal conflict.
Participation will first involve the completion of a questionnaire on a variety of contentious issues. You would then participate in three 20-minute discussion sessions. Participants will receive a payment of £10 for completing all four elements of this study. If you would like to find out more, please email Matt Billings: csmmjb@bath.ac.uk
