Big-brained birds survive better in nature
Birds with brains that are large in relation to their body size have a lower mortality rate than those with smaller brains, according to new research by Tamas Szekely(Biology & Biochemistry) published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences.

Networking event for women in business
Women in Swindon are invited to hear about what lies behind entrepreneurial success, in a free women's networking event at the University of Bath in Swindon on Tuesday 23 January.

Medical professionals attend RICE conference in Bath
This week the Bath-based Research Institute for the Care of the Elderly (RICE) is hosting a conference for over 60 medical professionals from across the region about improving healthcare for older people, particularly for those with memory problems, dementia or at risk of falls.

New imaging facility opened
More than £500,000 of cutting-edge imaging equipment was unveiled by the Vice-Chancellor, Glynis Breakwell, at the official opening of the University's new Bioimaging Suite today.

New library service: loan reminders by email
You can now receive loan reminders by email to inform you that your books are due for return. Emails are sent one day before the return date.

 

Sophos Anti-Virus Upgrade
On 28 February Sophos will end support of Sophos Anti-Virus 4.xx and the Remote Update software. All users (particularly those who have Sophos Anti-Virus installed at home) will therefore need to upgrade to the latest version of Sophos Anti-Virus before this time.
