Information
New decant building will enable Parade buildings to be refurbished
One of the biggest challenges for the Claverton Down campus is the revitalisation of the Parade. Many of the buildings built in the 1960s and 1970s which face onto or are close to the Parade are in need of significant repair and improvement. The University is proposing to construct a new building adjacent to the Sports Training Village which will serve in its early years to decant a range of academic and professional services departments whose existing buildings require substantial investment. It would be funded by the recently agreed HEFCE Capital Investment Programme 2008/11.
Bus pass price increase delayed until 1 September
STA Travel and the Students' Union have negotiated with First Bus so that they will defer their fare increase until 1 September.

If you, or your department, bought a British Airways (BA) or a Virgin Atlantic (VA) ticket between 11 August 2004 and 23 March 2006 you/the University may be entitled to a partial refund of the fuel surcharge. Passengers (or organisations for whom they work where costs have already been reclaimed from the organisation), are now invited to make a claim under the settlement of litigation against BA/Virgin relating to their fixing of fuel surcharges.
