Scientists to ‘grow' bone in the laboratory
Damaged bones could one day be repaired using bone tissue grown in the laboratory, thanks to technology being developed through a new £310,000 grant to the Department of Pharmacy & Pharmacology.
Research project could help create computers that run on light
An £820,000 research project led by Fetah Benabid (Physics) could be an important step in bringing photonic computers – devices run using light rather than electronics – onto the desktop.
