The University is saddened to announce the death of Lorraine Linney
Lorraine Linney, a fourth year undergraduate BSc (hons) Psychology student, passed away peacefully on Sunday 8 July 2012, with her family by her side.
Knowledge Exchange (KE) Champions & Knowledge Transfer Account (KTA) funding
A number of projects and activities in all three faculties have been awarded the KE Champions and KTA funding.

One of the leading names in social policy research, Lynn Prince Cooke, has joined the Social & Policy Sciences Department to continue her research into societal divisions of labour and subsequent life course outcomes.

More than 100 students selected from schools all over the UK came to the University last week to take part in two residential Salters’ Chemistry Camps for 15-year olds.
Pete Clark, Head of AV Services, retires after 42 years

Following approval by the Vice-Chancellor at University Executive on 11 July, the University’s Code of Practice for REF 2014 has now been submitted to Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
