University joins new regional research grouping
This week saw the announcement of our formal collaboration with the Universities of Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter. The grouping of four research-intensive universities will be tentatively named the GW4.

Grant Thornton is strengthening its relationship with the University by supporting a new prize fellowship in the School of Management's Centre in Strategic Risk, creating the first corporate named academic position in the School.

£3.75m will allow development of 'light controlled' factories
Researchers at the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Physics, led by Professor Paul Maropoulos, have received funding of £3.75 million to explore the next generation of factories, and specifically the use of lasers and optical methods for measurement and the control of machines.

This course aims to give you the tools to make completing a doctorate easier for your students and for you.

These sessions will focus on improving delegates' confidence in using the disciplinary, capability and absence management policies.
