Do not respond to phishing emails
The University is receiving a number of spam/phishing emails that ask you to visit a web form where they then ask for your university password. BUCS would like to remind all staff and students to not respond.
A new place to meet and eat – the Fountain Canteen
A new eatery on campus, offering a relaxed modern approach with soft social areas and a dedicated games area will be open for staff and students from Freshers’ Week this year.
Pay & Display machine moves
To facilitate the construction of the new student accommodation building, 3 Pay & Display machines in the permit holder sections of East Car Park have been moved to new locations.

Race for Life in memory of Isabel Wallace
A team from Accommodation and Hospitality hopped, skipped, jumped and ran their way around the Race For Life circuit on Sunday 16 June at the University.
New starters in May 2013
The new starters update gives the name, job title and department of all new members of staff at the University who started in the previous month.

Thirty students from local colleges will get the chance to work on their Maths at the University next week (2 to 4 July 2013).
Psychology launches first summer school for people with autism
The University is running a new free summer school for young people with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are thinking of going to university.
Faculty to support students at One Young World Summit
The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is fully funding a place for one of its students to attend the annual One Young World summit, this year taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa, in October.
Students turn social enterprise market traders at UniPopShop
On Tuesday 25 June, Uni Popshop 2013 saw 18 university teams battle it out in an Apprentice-style contest at Spitalfields Market organised by the Student Union’s Enterprise Unit in association with the foundation for social entrepreneurs UnLtd and HEFCE.
