The University’s new People Strategy – 2010/11 – 2013/14
The University’s new People Strategy was approved by Council on 3rd March 2011, following a lengthy review and consultation process across the University.
The new Strategy links directly to the University’s Corporate Plan 2009/10 – 2013/14 and has been devised in line with the challenges that the University will face over the next 4 years, with changes such as to fees and funding, the economic climate, the upcoming Research Excellence Framework assessment and the end of the Default Retirement Age all resulting in a more changeable and competitive environment in which we aim to succeed.
The new Strategy provides as a focus for all leaders, managers and staff. It sets out 3 strategic aims with linked desired outcomes, which the University and its people will work to meet over the period of the strategy. There is also a more detailed version of the strategy which includes the system / process and culture / behavioural implications of the desired outcomes.
