The Bath Biomechanics Symposium is a one-day meeting
hosted by the
Centre for Orthopaedic Biomechanics at the
University of Bath

Synthetic and naturally occurring materials have a long
history of successful use for the replacement and repair of both soft
and hard tissues in the body. Future developments in this field
will be enhanced by the optimisation of implant materials and their
properties when combined with new advances in tissue engineering. The
aim of this symposium is to bring together research groups active in
the broad field of biomaterials to share their current experiences at
a one day Symposium organised by the Centre for Orthopaedic Biomechanics
at the University of Bath.
