Student Support Services
Student Services have a helpdesk that can offer information and refer you to the most appropriate person if necessary.
You can drop into the Student Services Centre located in 4 West, facing onto the parade, opening hours Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 4.30pm or log an online query.
The Learning and Teaching Enhancement Office have developed an internal student support and resources site that offers you support for skills development, health and wellbeing, and learning resources.
International students
The International Student Advice team can help with immigration advice, orientation, studying, bringing your family, making friends, and all aspects of life in the UK.
Personal tutors and supervisors
As a postgraduate taught student you will be assigned a personal tutor during induction week. Your tutor is usually a member of academic staff for your programme of study.
Personal tutors are responsible for your pastoral and academic care and will be able to help you with any issues you might have.
All research students will have a named supervisor and a supervisory team to assist with anything you might want help with.
Graduate Centre
The Graduate Centre in 4 West is available just for postgraduate students with social and informal work areas, Wi-Fi and data connection points, a kitchen and a small training and seminar room.
Academic induction
Tutors and departments will support students in developing a range of academic skills to help them succeed in their studies. These skills are also highly valued by employers.
