Postgraduate student awarded prestigious thesis prize by publisher Springer

Hazel Garvie-Cook has had her PhD thesis chosen for publication in the prestigious Springer Theses series. Hazel was co-supervised by Dr Sergey Gordeev in Physics and Professor Richard Guy in Pharmacy & Pharmacology.

Hazel's thesis was chosen by Springer for its scientific excellence and impact on research. Her work represents an inventive attempt to apply recent advances in nanotechnology to identify and characterise novel polymer systems for drug delivery through the skin.
