FOUNDATION ACCESS PROGRAMME
Many Universities and Colleges in the UK offer Foundation Courses for overseas students whose qualifications are not quite equivalent to A Levels.
These courses are also used by students which have made the wrong A-level choices for a particular degree and mature students returning to education.
These courses are designed to develop students a level at which they can start the 1st year of a degree course (we ourselves offer such a Foundation Course at the City of Bath and Wiltshire Colleges).
These courses have no standard grading or structure, and it is not possible to give a general recommendation covering all - for example at one College 60% may be achieved by all students with ease, at another it may represent an outstanding grade only achieved by the best. Consequently each College's course will be considered individually.
We are happy to consider applicants from the following institutions:
Bellerbys, Bosworth College and Broxtowe College (70% overall minimum, 70% in key subjects). We shall also consider Bath Academy and other colleges from the David Game Group (B minimum, including A/B in key subjects), Northern Consortium UK (NCUK) (Grades equivalent to A level), University of Bristol (pass course, 65% minimum), University of Nottingham, University of St Andrews and University of Warwick.
Other than the Bath Foundation we will require applicants to have also undertaken an A level in Chemistry and obtained a grade A/B. All applicants will be interviewed.
PHARMACY PRACTICE, SCIENCE & MANAGEMENT (FOUNDATION DEGREE)
Pharmacy Practice, Science & Management foundation applicants must have in addition to good grades (65%) in the Foundation programme a grade A in A-level Chemistry and be qualified NVQ Level 3 Dispensing Technician.

I was a little nervous about going to the interview but the staff were very friendly and the interview was very relaxed.
I liked the fact that the letter inviting me for an interview said that the day was informal. It was good to be able to look around and take everything in, rather than having to worry about getting a grilling like those at other universities.
