Biography
James completed an M.Phys degree at the University of Bath in 2011. As part of his degree James' final year project took place within the CPPM group developing a technique to look at side scattering of a photonic crystal fibre to visualize the photonic band gap.
In 2011 he started his PhD under the supervision of J.C.Knight. He is currently looking at the development of fibres for short wavelengths, short pulses, and high powers and energies.
