Biography
James Stone received his Ph.D. from the University of Bath in 2009 winning the University's 2009 prize for outstanding postgraduate research for his work on supercontinuum generation.
His main research areas include the design and fabrication of novel photonic crystal fibres and nonlinear optics with a particular interest in supercontinuum generation. He works closely with industry to exploit cutting edge research in photonic crystal fibres.
