Biography
Leigh-Anne Thomas completed an MPhys degree with placement at the University of Bath in June 2007. Her final year project involved studying the luminescing and absorbing states of porous silicon nanocrystals, sparking an interest in silicon optics.
In August 2007 she started a PhD under the supervision of Dr Paul Snow, researching Acousto-Optics in porous silicon with an aim to designing new porous silicon devices such as acoustic multi-layer mirrors and filters.
Hobbies include astronomy, gardening and art.
