Biography
Lucy Hooper undertook a BSc in Natural Sciences with industrial placement at the University of Bath and graduated in summer 2008. For her final year project she built apparatus to demonstrate evanescent waves. This was under the supervision of Dr Paul Snow and sparked an interest in electromagnetism and optics.
She started her PhD in October 2008 with Professor Jonathan Knight. Research will include investigation into fibres for non linear microscopy.
