Biography
Dr. Wei Ding obtained his PhD degree in optics from the Centre for Photonics and Photonic Materials at the University of Bath in 2007. In the period 2007-2009, he performed postdoctoral research at the University of Bath and at the Universit de Technologie de Troyes (France) consecutively. In September 2009, he rejoined the CPPM in Bath.
Since his Ph.D study, his research has spanned the experimental and theoretical investigation of optical resonant structures of various optical materials, including optical fibers, silicon nanowires and Plasmon nano-particles.
His current project explores the fundamental physics and the potential applications of silicon and hybrid resonant structures based on nanowire optical circuits.
