CPPM Turns 3!

The CPPM is a group of around 30 people in the Department of Physics – academics, technicians, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students – who work together on various aspects of optics and photonics. During the past three years the team has published over 100 papers in international journals, and has brought in approximately £4.86 million in new research funding. The Centre is best-known for its work on photonic crystal fibres – a new class of optical fibre which is finding applications in a range of different areas including telecommunications and bio-medicine.
