KTA Imaging Technology Transfer - Helping to Diagnose Dementia

Dr Nathan Smith worked with physicists from Nuclear Medicine departments in Bristol and Bath to create a database of normal brain blood-flow, using an imaging technique known as SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography). This database could help to improve the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease across the UK.
