Dr Kate Seaman
Profile
Dr Kate Seaman joined the department in 2012 as a Teaching Fellow in Politics. Prior to joining PoLIS Kate was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of East Anglia.
Kate received her PhD in 2011 from the University of Lancaster, where she was a member of the Richardson Institute for Peace Research.
Research interests
Kate's research interests include,
- United Nations Peacekeeping Operations
- The Responsibility to Protect (RtoP)
- The Role of Regional Organisations in Security Operations
- The Development of Security Governance
She is currently working on a monograph entitled 'UN-Tied Nations: The UN, Global Governance and the crisis in peacekeeping'.
