Stephen Rangecroft Director of Corporate Engagement
Stephen is responsible for the design and delivery of the University’s corporate engagement strategy.
Stephen’s role is to lead the Corporate Engagement Team in developing new ways for organisations to build sustainable partnerships with the University. The goal is to create mutually beneficial relationships which create competitive advantage and add value to the University’s research output and learning experience.
The corporate engagement strategy is regional, national and international in scope and provides organisations with a wide range of opportunities designed to help them collaborate with the University’s research and teaching innovations.
There are six main areas in which organisations can forge a relationship with the University via the Corporate Engagement Team:
- Student engagement
- Research collaboration
- Employer training and skills development
- Philanthropic gifts
- Strategic alliances, Partners and Advocacy
An accomplished marketing and external relations professional, Stephen has extensive experience in the private and public sectors. Originally working in magazine and book publishing, Stephen moved into academia when he took the post of Marketing Director at London Business School. He has spent the last 11 years working for the University of Bath and was previously the Director of Marketing and External Relations for the School of Management.
Stephen studied History at Goldsmiths College as an undergraduate and later returned to the University of London to complete an MBA from UCL. In between he completed a Postgraduate Diploma from the Institute of Direct Marketing and a Strategic Marketing Programme at Columbia Business School in New York.
