Chloe Turner Research Development Manager

Chloe supports academics in their research ambitions through expert funding advice, strategic planning and developing high-quality funding proposals.

Role

Chloe is the Research Development Manager for engineering and physical sciences international development in Research and Innovation Services (RIS). She particularly supports applicants to the EPSRC New Investigator Award. Her work includes identifying opportunities and developing high-quality research proposals relevant to the:

  • Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)
  • UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)
  • Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) and the Newton Fund from the Research Councils and National Academies
  • Department for International Development (DfID)
  • Newton Fund

As part of the Research Grant Development team, Chloe facilitates workshops and provides skills training for improving grant proposal outcomes.

Career

Before joining Bath, Chloe worked in the EPSRC for nine years where she gained experience working on medical engineering funding and EPSRC policy to support students, researchers and academics.
