The MSc Health Psychology is concerned with:
- the promotion of health
- prevention and treatment of illness and disability
- analysis and improvement of the health care system
- health policy formation
This well established MSc programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and meets their requirements for Stage 1 training towards Chartered Health Psychology status.
The four month summer placement provides a unique opportunity to gain practical research experience while working with practising health professionals.

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology

The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology is a three year programme which consists of the three key interrelated elements, teaching, clinical placements and research.
The programme emphasises the importance of a clear understanding of how psychological theory can be applied to clinical problems.

Masters of Research
The Masters of Research (MRes) degree will teach you psychology-specific units, as well as general research methods that you will learn with students from other departments. You will also undertake research with a member of staff in the Department of Psychology.
