Cognition, Affective Science & Technology Laboratories (CASTL)

The Cognition, Affective Science & Technology Laboratories is an interdisciplinary research group which focuses upon social cognition and emotion.
Our group has extensive national and international research links (which support our neuroimaging research), supported by generous external funding. We also have a strong record of grant attainment, successful postgraduate students and collaboration within academia and with industry.

Research lab
Our laboratories include a pain lab, a stress lab, a psychophysiology lab with an EEG/GSR system and a cognitive lab with a soundproof testing booth and an eye tracker, in addition to a wide range of computer-based testing facilities.
We also have dedicated research groups within CASTL:
