Department of Psychology

Applicant Visit Days

What are Applicant Visit Days?

You will be invited to a choice of Applicant Visit Days once you have received an offer from us. It’s a great way to take a closer look at the Department before making your final UCAS choices.

These days provide you with the opportunity to learn more about the degree and to meet with key members of staff, as well as current students.

Travelling to the Applicant Visit Day

If you are coming to one of our Wednesday Applicant Visit Days there will be a free bus service from Lansdown Park & Ride to the campus. On our Saturday Applicant Visit Days visitors may park on campus (Please note that Park & Ride buses to the campus will not be running).

What happens on the Applicant Visit Day?

The Applicant Visit Day consists of:

  • an introductory talk with the chance to learn about the admissions process
  • a tour of the campus and department facilities
  • a taster session illustrating what the course would be like to study
  • a chance to meet some academic staff
  • an opportunity to ask questions to current students about student life.

Can I attend if I haven’t applied yet?

If you want to apply for one of our degree programmes then you are more than welcome to join us on one of these days, but with spaces being tight, we will have to give priority to those who have received an offer from us. Please contact us for more details.

Are there other opportunities to visit?

We also hold University Open Days which you can come to before you start your UCAS application.
