About Knowledge Transfer Partnerships at Bath
The University of Bath has had a long and distinguished involvement in Knowledge Transfer Partnerships since 1975 successfully managing over 100 programmes with a variety of businesses and academic departments. We have considerable expertise and experience in KTPs and applying KTPs to a wide range of companies and industries.
The KTP Office is part of the Research Development and Support Office at the University of Bath and acts as the gateway to the University’s research capability. Based on the main campus of the University, KTP promotes and manages Knowledge Transfer Partnership Programmes. KTP typically runs 15 to 20 programmes with different organisations in a variety of different academic departments and is actively seeking to expand its portfolio in line with the increased government support for the scheme. Current KTP programmes at Bath.
The KTP Office was established in 1978 and is one of the longest running university KTP offices in the UK. It provides a focal point and support for the promotion and development of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and provides support to the project participants.
KTP develops Knowledge Transfer Partnerships by promoting to companies, academics and graduates, facilitating and assisting with the development of projects and assists in the preparation of the proposal and submission process. It further supports approved KTPs by advising and managing the recruitment process of Associates, managing all aspects of post award project and financial programme management, facilitating Regional Seminars and other networking opportunities and providing further support for the personal and professional development of KTP Associates.
