Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is a partnership between a Company and a University who work together on a development project that is strategically important to the Company’s future. Clive acts as the interface between the academic base and companies and organisations to develop these programmes and secure government or Research Council Funding.
Clive’s main responsibilities involve:-
- Identifying and evaluating KTP opportunities for the University. Negotiating with senior management at the companies and identifying and securing appropriate academic expertise.
- KTP proposal development and submission.
- All aspects of managing each KTP to a successful conclusion, including liaising with all parties in the partnership.
Clive deals with the following academic departments:-
- Architecture and Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemistry
- Management
- Education
Biography:
Clive is a former KTP Advisor working with a number of universities providing support and guidance in the development of a portfolio of KTP programmes. Prior to that he held senior management positions in various industry sectors, including telecommunications, FMCG and financial services. He has also acted as a Management Consultant to a number of large corporate organisations and small, medium enterprises.
