Lizzie deals with the following departments:

She is responsible for:
The approval, legal and contractual aspects of research proposals and also the acceptance procedures for research contracts when awarded, in close collaboration with the University Legal Advisor;
The grant application and award process relating to all sponsors. This ranges from helping with initial proposal preparation to setting up project status for those that are successful.
She is happy to advise on all aspects of sponsored funding including:
- Full Economic Costing (FEC)
- pFACT Software
- Costings for research proposals
- General guidelines on terms and conditions which apply to various sponsors
- Completion of RS1 and RS2 forms (application and award stages respectively)
- Contractual aspects of research proposals and also the acceptance procedures for research contracts when awarded
- Final reporting arrangements for Research Councils
