Application Surgeries:

RDSO supporting academics and reviewing external funding applications

If you are in the process of writing an application for external funding - either as an individual or as part of a collaboration - then consider signing up for a session on the new 'Application Surgeries' being run by the Research Development & Collaborations (RD&C) team in the Research Development & Support Office (RDSO), the University's Research Support function.

These surgeries will allow the opportunity for constructive feedback on any aspect of your planned research or knowledge transfer activites and provide you with suggestions for a way foward to completion and submission. The Research Portfolio Managers who will be running these sessions have much experience of preparing successful funding applications, and will be able to help you with any of the following:

These sessions are either for individuals or groups of researchers (as appropriate) and will be run once a month. Attendance is on the first come basis. Documents for review might include draft applications, draft research ideas, previous successful and unsuccessful applications, CVs etc.

Application Surgeries are on the first Thursday of every month.

Times:

10-11; 11-12; 2-3; 3-4; 4-5

All sessions will be held in the RDSO meeting room - Wessex House 3.9 (in the VC's old suite).
