Head of KTP retires
David Cockayne, Head of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships at the University, has retired after giving 12 years service to Bath leading the KTP team.
In his time at Bath David has developed, managed and overseen well over 100 KTP projects with companies across the UK.
David leaves us with Bath in the Top 10 for KTP provision nationally and number 1 in the South West.
His dedicated work has built and sustained excellent relationships with a wide range of companies that have gone on to engage with the University in a variety of ways.
From an engineering background, he had 20 years extensive hands on management experience as a Consultant and Senior Consultant, Operations Director and finally Managing Director of his own business. He later returned to industry in a senior role for some seven years before joining the University in 2000.
We thank him for his dedicated hard work and wish him all the best in his retirement.
