REF Dry Run

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) will replace the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE); data will be submitted by HEIs in 2013 with the results announced in 2014. REF will consist of three elements: Research Outputs, Impact and Environment.

The University’s REF Dry Run exercise is now underway. Unit of Assessment Leaders have been asked to compile a full REF Submission for their Unit, comprising Outputs, Impact and Environment. Across the University, 95 Impact case studies have been written (thanks to all of you who have contributed to these already) and the next task is to collate lists of outputs for consideration in the Dry Run. This will be done using our institutional repository, Opus.

Full information can be found on the University’s REF pages. If you have any queries please contact Katy McKen, Research Information Manager.
