  • We run regular research data management (RDM) training courses for research staff and postgraduate students as part of the staff development and PGSkills schemes respectively
  • We provide a data management plan review service for grant applicants
  • We provide an advisory service to staff and students on all aspects of research data management
  • We operate the University's Research Data Archive
  • We maintain the University's guidance pages on research data management
  • We maintain the University's research data policy, strategic plan and operational plan

Alex Ball has expertise in metadata for research data, the scholarly communication of research data and discipline-specific data management issues, and develops the University's data archive.
