Business Development

The Business Development function of Research Development & Knowledge Exchange (RDKE) works with academic staff in the following ways:

  • Relationship Development and Management: working with academic staff to develop, build and manage relationships between the University and industry partners to deliver research funding and develop impact.
  • Developing proposals: working with academic staff to develop proposals to a range of funder and schemes including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, Innovate UK, Horizon 2020 and direct industry funding.
  • Strategic priorities: Supporting identified internal and external strategic priorities.
  • Consultancy: Supporting academics undertaking consultancy through the University by providing expert advice, guidance and support throughout the whole project life-cycle.
