The University of Bath’s Approach to Marie Curie Fellowship Actions 2013

The Marie Curie Fellowship call opened 14 March 2013, with a deadline of 14 August 2013.

The University of Bath is providing a proposal support service for this year’s Marie Curie Fellowship schemes. Through our Research Development and Support Office (RDSO), we will provide assistance to Bath's host Principal Investigators (PIs) and the applicants themselves to help develop their proposals.

The Actions

The Marie Curie Fellowships provide significant financial support to a Research Fellow for a period of 12-24 months on any research topic. Candidates must have either a doctoral degree or at least 4 years’ full-time research experience, post-Bachelor degree. The three actions we are supporting are:

This fellowship is designed for researchers willing to develop their career in Europe outside their home country. Incoming Research Fellows may come from any country except the UK, or if the Fellow is already in the UK, have been resident for less than 1 year before the submission deadline. These schemes can be used to recruit postdoctoral researchers, or host more senior non-UK based research visitors.

Fellows are funded to go to a country outside Europe for 12-24 months, and are also funded upon return to Europe for another 12 months. Bath academics could apply to this scheme to coincide with a scheduled sabbatical, for example.
Bath academics looking to spend time outside of the UK, with the intention of returning to Bath, we will work with you and your nominated host on your application. Deadline: 8 July.

Researchers moving from outside the EU Member States or Associated Countries to the UK are eligible.

Recruiting Incoming Fellows

Following the call for proposed research projects from Bath academics wishing to recuit an incoming fellow, through Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowships, we now have a list of proposed research projects for which we are now recruiting incoming fellows. PIs will inform RDSO of their chosen candidates by the 31 May.
