Maths PG Football Championships, July 2013
On 27 July the Department of Mathematical Sciences will host the annual UK Maths Postgraduate Football Championships at the Sports Training Village. Last year they beat off 10 other teams of mathematicians in Glasgow to be declared the winners and hosts of the 2013 tournament. Read more >>

Biology postgraduate Katie Charneski lead author on cutting edge protein publication
Research led by Katie have solved a problem that has frustrated biologists for years – why different parts of proteins are made at different rates.
Their discovery, published in the online journal PLOS Biology, should help scientists make proteins that would be otherwise tricky to produce in the lab. Read more >>
