Cycling at the University of Bath

Many students and members of staff choose to cycle to and from the campus on a daily basis. Cyclist will find the University's Transport page very useful, as it includes details of safe cycle routes to and from the campus along with news and information for cyclists.

BUBUG (Bath University Bicycle Users Group) is also a useful source of information for cyclists, including cycling safety on Bath's hills.

Widcombe Hill

Security Services have been made aware of concerns raised by local residents and the police about cyclists travelling down Widcombe hill at excessive speeds.

Please take extra care and avoid excessive speed here, especially approaching the bend at Macauley Buildings. The number of recent accidents that have occured when cyclists have lost control highlights the serious risk posed to cyclists, pedestrians and car drivers.
