Parking on campus

There is ample parking on campus for motorcycles, including designated areas in F Car Park opposite the STV and D Car Park by 2 South. Additional parking has also been provided at 3 South and the Estates Ramp.

To encourage green transport choices, the Security and Estates Departments and the Scooter & Motorcycle Users' Group (SMUG) surveyed our motorcycle parking. As a result there is now additional parking in the underdeck.

Please park within the marked bays around the Underdeck inner island, allowing space for pedestrians and wheelchair users on the paving. Two sections of the underdeck crossover roads have been closed to provide motorcycle parking. Metal anchorage bars have been welded to the steel uprights for securing motorcycles and pigeon spikes or netting prevent roosting birds soiling the machines.

Motorcyclists should not park in:

Offenders will be issued with a Civil Parking Notice.

Securing of motorcycles

Please secure your motorcycle with an approved lock and alarm to prevent theft. Although crime on campus is very low, the recent theft of a motorcycle from the underdeck has reminded us all not to become complacent. Please do not secured motorbikes to hoops provided for bicycle parking.

Registration

Please register details of your motorcycle with Security if you wish to park on campus, so you can be contacted in the event of an issue with your vehicle.
