BSc Social Work & Applied Social Studies ranked top in the UK

Results from the Complete University Guide have placed the BSc (Hons) Social Work & Applied Social Studies as the top programme in its field in the UK.
The programme currently has over 85 students enrolled and is managed by the Department of Social & Policy Sciences.
Subject rankings have been created using the following four measures:
- Student satisfaction
- Research assessment
- Entry standards
- Graduate prospects
Senior Lecturer in Social Work, Mark Baldwin has commented: “The whole team are really delighted that the hard work we have put in to the student experience is reflected in these results. We try to maintain both a strong research profile and a positive student experience, whilst aiming to widen participation for mature students. This is great recognition for the team and our partner agencies in the area. Together we are producing professional social workers with the skills and values to work with the difficult social, political and organisational contexts of today.”
