Prof Paul Gregg attends Commission on Youth Unemployment
14 March 2012
Professor Paul Gregg sat on the recent Commission on Youth Unemployment, sponsored by the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO), and chaired by David Miliband MP.
The Commission has recently published a report: Youth unemployment: the crisis we cannot afford.
The report seeks to assess the nature and scale of the current problem of youth unemployment, assess its cost to society, what current and long-term damages it creates, and proposes practical solutions to end long-term youth unemployment.
The Commission aims to work within areas with acute unemployment problems and to seek to deliver change on the ground.
