Dr Tina Skinner meets with the District Attorney in charge of the Sex Crimes Unit in Manhattan

Dr Tina Skinner has just returned from a research trip to New York where she met with DA Martha Bashford the head of the Sex Crimes Unit in Manhattan.
They discussed the work of the Unit, the process for investigating and prosecuting rape and sexual assault in the UK, and possible strategies for improving the process in both the US and UK.
This was followed by Dr Skinner meeting with services that cater for the medical, counselling and other support needs of survivors of sexual violence in the city.
